Palma School Mural Design
As Palma School introduced its new co-ed House system, students created draft crest designs to represent each house’s values and identity. The goal was to transform these sketches into professional illustrations that honored student creativity while building a cohesive visual system.
Each crest was refined to reflect the unique spirit of its house while staying aligned with the school’s branding. The final designs now serve as lasting symbols of pride—featured on apparel, signage, and student gifts—marking a meaningful milestone in Palma’s evolving legacy.
The Merenti crest merges the old and new, honoring legacy, learning, and service. The red color symbolizes sacrifice and triumph, while the book, hands, clover, and trophy reflect knowledge, generosity, heritage, and achievement—united under the motto “Palms to the Victor".

The Arden crest reflects a house rooted in nature, faith, and valor. Green symbolizes peace and renewal, while the falcon, palm leaves, and sword represent divine guidance, triumph, and courage. With a Celtic cross and knight’s helm, Arden unites spiritual strength and chivalry into one bold symbol of protection and purpose.

Rooted in the spirit of the Chieftain, the Aurum crest represents strength, courage, and resilience. Gold signifies victory, while symbols like the barbells, lion, and cross speak to empowerment, leadership, and faith. Each element is designed to reflect a house built on purpose and progress.

The Opulenta crest reflects the deep roots of the Salinas Valley—its land, labor, and legacy. Dark ash symbolizes resilience, while the sun, river, and grain represent growth and renewal. The pitchfork hints at rebellion and struggle; the hand plow, at faith and perseverance. Together, they mark a heritage both grounded and bold.
